Our collars can be made in many other color combinations. Want melon pink flowers on teal biothane? No problem! Want silver stars on sky blue biothane? Just ask, and we’re happy to deliver.

One Piece Martingale "Sport Lead"

Good for more than just dock diving and agility! This lead's easy-on, easy-off design (for you, not the dog!) also makes it perfect for off-leash hiking or exploring sandy tidal flats — or even for quick potty walks! While our default sport lead comes in a black and one color, these sport leads can be easily customized with a pattern, name, or unique color combo. They come in standard sizes ranging from extra small to large, but custom sizing is always an option for custom orders.

Martingales and other Collars

We have the ability to custom make many types of martingales and slip collars, from adjustable chain martingales, to all biothane quick release martingales, slips, limited slips, as well as complex "sighthound" style collars (see top collar below). We're also happy to custom make a collar to suit your needs, be it a lightweight ID collar or a Tractive covering collar (see bottom collar below). If you're wondering if we can do it, feel free to reach out and ask! We'd love to hear from you.

Gear Care Guide

Biothane is completely waterproof, odor-proof, and UV resistant. With just a tiny bit of care, your Grey Jay gear should work and look like new for years. To deal with any dust or dirt, simply wipe your biothane collar with a damp cloth. After particularly muddy adventures, you can rinse your gear in luke-warm water and use a mild cleaner. Avoid using hot water and it is not recommended to let the collar soak.We use metal hardware in our gear for its strength and longevity, and while everything is nice and waterproof, it's still not recommended to leave your gear wet indefinitely. To avoid rust and corrosion, after cleaning, swimming, or getting caught in a downpour, it's a good idea to leave your gear off until both it and your pet are completely dry. This will also prevent extra odor from building up in the fur or skin itself, as funk-causing bacteria love moisture, which can get trapped under a collar or harness. Finally, make sure to rinse your gear and follow the steps above after coming into contact with salt water, as long-term exposure can be particularly damaging.By following these simple steps, your Grey Jay gear should stay in tip-top condition for countless adventures.
